The notion of active, strong community participation is deeply entrenched in the ethos and values of CountPlus and its member firms.
Over many years, the Company has devised ways to formalise enduring links with programs that give back to others. As a professional services business it is only natural that we lean towards serving our communities with a structured, professional approach that is also measurable and meaningful.
The Company presently has a close working relationship with the Count Charitable Foundation. An Advisory Committee drawn from leaders within our member firms was established to work closely with CountPlus in order to implement best practice, community, philanthropic and charitable ideas amongst our community of firms.
Project 7X7 was established with participants from all our firms working together to create an enduring program of philanthropic endeavour and pro-bono work. Our goal is to achieve $2,020,000 in pro bono and philanthropic giving by 2020.
Within our Community, the Barry Lambert Scholarship was established to acknowledge and promote the high potential leaders drawn from our own CountPlus network.
Such leaders stand to receive the accolade but also attendance at the “Leading Professional Firms” Executive Education program at Harvard Business School in Boston, USA.
The inaugural recipient, David Reeves, Managing Principal of Cooper Reeves, attended Harvard Business School in January 2018. David is an outstanding example of the future of CountPlus and its leadership, and was a worthy winner of the Barry Lambert Scholarship for 2017.
